Railway Hotel Port Adelaide opened on the 19 March, 1856 and today continues to provide great service, friendly hospitality and traditional pub fare in the heart of historic Port Adelaide. State Heritage listed the Railway Hotel shows off her beauty and charm to the port with some interesting folklore about the downstairs cellar which today, still contains the old horse stables.
The hotel has recently changed hands and is under new management. The new owners have plans to retain the heritage and beauty of the Railway Hotel bringing a vision which looks to celebrate the best live music and local talent. Having extensive involvement in the music industry themselves the owners are installing premium sound and lighting equipment, in a great pokie free environment!
In 2017, John, Tony & Peter have plans to create a function room which will utilize the amazing upstairs balcony and an inviting beer garden out the back. The owner families live local, buy local supplies and employ some amazing local staff.
