Hotel Esplanade has served as a haven for live music in St Kilda since the 1920s.With a consistent programme of the live music both local and international across both the Gershwin Room and Basement, The Espy always has and always will be the home of live music.
Since the hotel very first opened its doors more than 140 years ago, it has served to be a haven of fun and laughter, where people from St Kilda, wider Melbourne and even further afield came to eat, drink and be merry.
After reopening and renovating in 2018, we’ve taken the fun and laughter to a whole new level, providing a consistent programme of the best live music gigs and comedy shows week in, week out across our 3 stages.
